Vocalist and songwriter Ravyn started her singing career working with Rodney Jerkins in all girl R& B group called N-Tun. She now takes her cue from legendary female voices of the past. You can hear the melody of Nancy Wilson, the power of Diana Ross and the spirit of Billie Holiday in her musical style. But not to be mistaken with an imitator, Ravyn is a new voice with classic sensibilities. When appearing as a guest vocalist with local bands or as a solo act, Ravyn puts her own special swing on jazz standards and R&B tunes. Born in Fort Bragg, NC, Ravyn spent much of her early life as an army brat traveling the world, which added to her rich repertoire of cultural sounds, but she would just as easily have fit in at the Cotton Club during its heyday. A former model, she's now settled in Orlando, FL, where locals have welcomed her sense of style. Her ease with an audience is apparent from the moment she takes the stage---- Ravyn can entertain a gathering of people from 10 to 10,000.
